Cyberjaya is home to the Multimedia Super Corridor of Malaysia and was poised to be the Silicon Valley of Malaysia when it was launched back in May 1997. Located within the Sepang district of the State of Selangor, Cyberjaya has been home to many Multi National Companies throughout the years mainly hosting Global Shared Services for the likes of Hewlett Packard & SHELL. It is also known to house a few major Universities such as Multimedia University & Lim Kok Weng indirectly making it a campus city.
In the last 5 years or so, Cyberjaya has seen growth in Residential & Retail developments to support a population base that is closing into 100,000. New developments from SP Setia, Paramount and such has seen a rise in residential demand which in turn has fuelled integrated developments such as D’Pulze and Shaftsbury Square. Furthermore, it is located next to Putrajaya which houses the different Ministries of the Government of Malaysia.
